79. Samuel Sanders⁸ Tarpley (John⁷, Sterling⁶, John⁵, John⁴, John³, John², John¹) was born in Wilson County, Tennessee June 11, 1845. Samuel died October 3, 1916 in Alex, Grady County, Oklahoma, at 71 years of age. His body was interred in Memorial Park Cemetery, Gracemont, Caddo County, Oklahoma.

He married Martha Jane "Jenny" Virginia Smith in Collin County, Texas, May 23, 1869. Martha was born in Logan County, Kentucky February 9, 1848. Martha died May 11, 1921 in Anadarko, Caddo County, Oklahoma, at 73 years of age. Her body was interred in Anadarko.

110 v. Mary Virginia Tarpley was born in Whitesboro, Grayson County, Texas July 4, 1879. Mary died March 14, 1957 in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma, at 77 years of age. Her body was interred in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.

111 vi. Lucretia Parthenia Tarpley was born February 28, 1882. Lucretia died January 6, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, at 87 years of age. Her body was interred in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma. She married twice. She married J. Wolford Ellis 1900. J. was born UNKNOWN. J. died 1918 in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma. (See J. 112 vii. Eunice Iola Tarpley was born in Mud Creek, Indian Territory, Oklahoma February 9, 1885. Eunice died March 25, 1959 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, at 74 years of age. Her body was interred in Amarillo, Texas. She married twice. She married Jessie Greene Boyd in Nellie, Stephens County, OK, December 10, 1905. Jessie was born in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas September 21, 1881. Jessie was the son of Redman Boyd and Nancy Speegle. Jessie died May 3, 1916 in Gracemont, Caddo County, Oklahoma, at 34 years of age. His body was interred in Gracemont, Caddo County, Oklahoma. Seth was born in Mound City, Holt County, MO November 24, 1873. Seth was the son of James Guthrie and Mary Hayes. Seth died October 13, 1956 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, at 82 years of age.
