45. John⁷ Tarpley (Sterling⁶, John⁵, John⁴, John³, John², John¹) was born Virginia August 5, 1797. John died May 11, 1889 in Cooke County, Texas, at 90 years of age. His body was interred in Buried in Cooke County, Texas.

He married Sarah H. Davis in Wilson County, Tennessee, June 14, 1825. Sarah was born North Carolina June 19, 1804. Sarah died September 3, 1881 in Cooke County, Texas, at 77 years of age. Her body was interred in Graines Cemetery, on Grayson County line, Roston near Whitesboro, Texas.

John Tarpley and Sarah H. Davis had the following children:

+ 74 i. Collin S.⁸ Tarpley was born May 8, 1828.

75 ii. Parthenia B. Tarpley was born in Wilson County, Tennessee October 24, 1830. Parthenia died July 19, 1880 in Probably Cooke County, Texas, at 49 years of age. She married John Franklin Wilkins UNKNOWN. John was born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky May 12, 1829. John died February 17, 1905 in Probably Cooke County, Texas, at 75 years of age. + 76 iii. William M. Tarpley was born 1833.

+ 77 iv. John Tarpley, Jr. was born 1836.

78 v. Sarah Elizabeth Tarpley was born Tennessee September 2, 1841. Sarah died June 11, 1885 in probably Cooke County, Texas, at 43 years of age. She married Edward Ballinger Dishman in Grayson County, Texas, December 8, 1859. Edward was born 1833. Edward died UNKNOWN. (See Edward Ballinger Dishman for the continuation of this line.)

+ 79 vi. Samuel Sanders Tarpley was born June 11, 1845.
