97. John Harrison⁹ Tarpley (Collin S.⁸, John⁷, Sterling⁶, John⁵, John⁴, John³, John², John¹) was born in Texas February 11, 1861. John died December 4, 1935 in Mountain Park, Kiowa County, Oklahoma, at 74 years of age.

He married Minnie Hufford Nichols in Cleveland County, Oklahoma, September 14, 1890. Minnie was born in Missouri August 31, 1870. Minnie died January 3, 1955 at 84 years of age.

John Harrison Tarpley and Minnie Hufford Nichols had the following children:
