He married three times. He married Mary Catt in Hancock County, Indiana, May 2, 1838.⁽⁶⁸⁾ Mary was born in Chippewa Twp., Wayne County, OH August 3, 1818. Mary⁽⁶⁹⁾ was the daughter of Johannes "John" Catt and Leah Louisa Rupert. Mary died March 19, 1869 in Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa, at 50 years of age.⁽⁷⁰⁾ Her body was interred March 20, 1869 in Pennington Cemetery, Lancaster Twp., Keokuk, Iowa.⁽⁷¹⁾ He married Mary Nancy Williamson in Keokuk County, Iowa, March 9, 1870.⁽⁷²⁾ Mary was born in Kentucky 1828. Mary died November 18, 1873 in Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa, at 45 years of age.⁽⁷³⁾ Her body was interred November 20, 1873 in Pennington Cemetery, Lancaster Twp., Keokuk, Iowa.⁽⁷⁴⁾ He married Mrs. Matilda Knowler in Keokuk County, Iowa, August 15, 1880.⁽⁷⁵⁾ Mrs. was born 1829. Mrs. died October 12, 1884 in Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa, at 55 years of age.⁽⁷⁶⁾ Her body was interred October 13, 1884 in Bethel (Utterback) Cemetery, Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa.

Andrew participated in the emigration event 1854 in Moved from Madison County, Boone Twp., Indiana to Keokuk County, Iowa..⁽⁷⁷⁾

Andrew Tygart and Mary Catt had the following children:

Samuel Tygart⁽⁷⁸⁾ was born in Boon Twp., Madison, Indiana 1841.⁽⁷⁹⁾ Samuel died October 27, 1862 in Helena, Phillips, Arkansas, at 21 years of age.⁽⁸⁰⁾ His body was interred in Mississippi River National Cem, near Memphis, Tennesse.⁽⁸¹⁾ Samuel served in the military in 5th Kansas Volunteer Cavalry, Co. H.

+ 4 iii. William Jasper Tygart was born about 1841.

5 iv. Cyrena Tygart⁽⁸²⁾ was born in Hancock County, Indiana November 9, 1843.⁽⁸³⁾ Cyrena died November 10, 1901 in Lancaster Twp., Keokuk, Iowa, at 58 years of age.⁽⁸⁴⁾ Her body was interred November 12, 1901 in Pennington Cemetery, Lancaster Twp., Keokuk, Iowa. She married Nimrod Utterback in Keokuk County, Iowa, May 20, 1862.⁽⁸⁵⁾ Nimrod was born in Johnson County, Indiana November 25, 1840. Her body was interred April 18, 1862 in Pennington Cemetery, Lancaster Twp., Keokuk, Iowa. Catherine participated in the Age at death : event in 12yrs.

Susan Tygart⁽⁹⁰⁾ was born in Boon Twp., Madison, Indiana May 1853.⁽⁹¹⁾ She married Abraham Black in Keokuk County, Iowa, May 18, 1873.⁽⁹²⁾ Abraham was born in Preble County, Ohio August 3, 1834. 10 ix. Nancy Tygart was born in Keokuk County, Iowa 1856. Nancy died 1859 in Keokuk County, Iowa, at 3 years of age. Her body was interred 1859 in Pennington Cemetery, Lancaster Twp., Keokuk, Iowa. Nancy participated in the Age at death : event in 3yrs 7mo.

11 x. Iowa Tygart⁽⁹⁴⁾ was born in Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa February 1861.⁽⁹⁵⁾ Iowa died after August 1925 in Colorado ?. She married Willis I. Lee in Sigourney, Keokuk, Iowa, April 24, 1881.⁽⁹⁶⁾ Willis was born in Sigourney, Keokuk, Iowa August 6, 1864. (Additional notes for Willis I.
