8. George³ Catt (John², Michael¹ Katz) was born in Westmoreland County, PA March 5, 1781. George died About 1857 in Irwin Township, Howard County, IN.

He married Mary Smith in Columbiana County, OH, April 17, 1810. Mary was born in PA February 6, 1790. Mary died 1864 at 74 years of age.

George Catt and Mary Smith had the following children:

15 i. John⁴ Catt was born in Hanover Township, Columbiana County, OH October 4, 1810.

16 ii. Rebecca Catt was born in Hanover Township, Columbiana County, OH December 23, 1812.

17 iii. Mary A. Catt was born in Hanover Township, Columbiana County, OH December 2, 1815. Mary died After 1886.

18 iv. Hettie Elizabeth Catt was born in Hanover Township, Columbiana County, OH June 1, 1822. She married Henry Drake in Hancock County, IN, October 10, 1841.

19 v. Jesse Catt was born in Columbiana County, OH August 27, 1824.
