7. James W.² Bowman (James M.¹) was born in Chattooga, GA January 21, 1839. James died March 12, 1876 in Cooke County, TX, at 37 years of age. His body was interred in Cooke County, TX, Osburn Cemetery.

He married Sarah "Catherine" Watts in Chattooga, GA, March 14, 1858. Sarah was born in GA September 21, 1840. Sarah died December 14, 1923 in Dewey County, OK, at 83 years of age. Her body was interred in Putnam, Dewey County, OK, Prairie Bell Cemetery.

James W. Bowman and Sarah "Catherine" Watts had the following children:

17 ii. Mary E. Bowman was born in Chattooga County, GA About 1859.

18 iii. Ruth G. Bowman was born in Chattooga, GA About 1860.

+ 19 iv. Thomas Fletcher Bowman was born August 10, 1866.

+ 20 v. Joseph Richard Bowman was born March 1871.
