3. Hailey Sanford³ Ramsey (Thomas F. Jr.², Thomas Frances¹) was born in Pittsylvania County, VA September 7, 1781. Hailey died April 4, 1841 in Rock Creek, Pittsylvania County, VA, at 59 years of age. His body was interred in Ajax, Pittsylvania County, PA, Ramsey Cemetery.

He married Esther Ziegler in Franklin County, VA, February 22, 1803. Esther was born in York, PA November 17, 1783. Esther died July 1868 in Franklin County, VA, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred in Ajax, Pittsylvania County, PA, Ramsey Cemetery.

Hailey Sanford Ramsey and Esther Ziegler had the following children:

7 i. Elizabeth⁴ Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA April 30, 1804. She married Sterling S. Jr. Cooper in Pittsylvania County, VA, December 24, 1825.

+ 8 ii. Henry A. Ramsey was born January 24, 1806.

9 iii. Armstead Woodson Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA February 5, 1808. Armstead died January 13, 1853 in Allens Chapel, Fannin County, TX, at 44 years of age. His body was interred in Allens Chapel, Fannin County, TX, Vineyard Grove Cemetery. He married Lucy Kirby Ziegler in Franklin County, VA, July 15, 1831.

10 iv. Frances Ann Ramsey was born in Franklin County, VA May 22, 1810. She married Isaiah Jefferson in Pittsylvania County, VA, November 18, 1833. Isaiah was born About 1811.

11 v. Barbara A. Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA March 22, 1812. Barbara died July 15, 1885 in Allens Chapel, Fannin County, TX, at 73 years of age. Her body was interred in Allens Chapel, Fannin County, TX, Vineyard Grove Cemetery. She married Jacob Ramsey in Pittsylvania County, VA, October 22, 1833. Jacob was born in Franklin County, VA February 25, 1812. Jacob was the son of William Newman Ramsey and Susan Ziegler. Jacob died December 23, 1881 in Allens Chapel, Fannin County, TX, at 69 years of age. His body was interred in Allens Chapel, Fannin County, TX, Vineyard Grove Cemetery. 13 vii. Catherine M. E. Ramsey was born in Franklin County, VA December 10, 1816. She married John Davis in Pittsylvania County, VA, December 15, 1842.

14 viii. Thomas F. Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA March 4, 1818. Thomas died in Rock Creek, Pittsylvania County, VA. He married Judity Witcher in Pittsylvania County, VA, November 23, 1853. Judity was born About 1824.

15 ix. Jacob Alexander Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA November 13, 1821.

16 x. Eglentine Ramsey was born in Franklin County, VA April 25, 1824. Eglentine died December 6, 1867 in Pittsylvania County, VA, at 43 years of age. She married William Sanford Davis in Pittsylvania County, VA, August 31, 1848. William was born About 1816.

17 xi. William Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA September 18, 1826. William died September 18, 1826 in Pittsylvania County, VA, at less than one year of age.

18 xii. John Ziegler Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA May 9, 1828. John died March 22, 1906 in Hebron, Grayson County, TX, at 77 years of age. He married twice. He married Sarah Ann Wright in Pittsylvania County, VA, September 9, 1850. He married Judith E. Gilbert in VA, About 1856.

19 xiii. Sarah Ramsey was born in Pittsylvania County, VA About 1830.
