1. George Washington¹ Yeager was born in Wythe Co., Virginia October 23, 1803. George died January 2, 1883 in Harlan, Harlan Co., Kentucky, at 79 years of age.

He married Sarah Clark in Wythe Co., Virginia, November 5, 1829. Sarah was born in Wythe Co., Virginia February 16, 1811. Sarah was the daughter of John Clark Farmer and Mary Rebecca Seybert. Sarah died March 29, 1905 in Harlan Co., Kentucky, at 94 years of age.

George Washington Yeager and Sarah Clark had the following children:

2 i. Mary² Yeager was born in Virginia about 1833. She married Martin Jones.

3 ii. Letitia Yeager was born in Virginia about 1837. She married Sanders King in Harlan Co., Kentucky, March 7, 1863.

4 iii. William Yeager was born in Virginia about 1838.

5 iv. Eliza Jane Yeager was born in Virginia about 1840. Eliza died 1886 in Bell Co., Kentucky, at 46 years of age. She married twice. She married W. F. M. Wilson. She married Lyttle.

6 v. Rebecca H. Yeager was born in Kentucky September 14, 1842. Rebecca died November 29, 1920 at 78 years of age.

7 vi. Esther O. Yeager was born in Kentucky about 1845. She married Nathan Woodward in Harlan, Harlan Co., Kentucky, December 18, 1866.

8 vii. Sarah Amanda (Mandy) Yeager was born in Kentucky about 1848. Sarah died 1884 at 36 years of age. She married Henry Clay Rice in Kentucky, March 16, 1871.

9 viii. George W. Yeager was born in Harlan Co., Kentucky March 25, 1850. He married twice. He married Latitia Skidmore in Harlan Co., Kentucky, December 1870. He married Jerusha Pope August 1, 1895.

10 ix. Sursipta Yeager was born in Harlan Co., Kentucky March 15, 1852. She married John Robert Rice.
