2. John Henry² Carson (William Henry¹) was born in Cosby, MO July 19, 1859. John died March 29, 1940 Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, at 80 years of age. His body was interred in Bourbon County, KS, Clarksburg Cemetery.

He married Mary May Catt Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, January 12, 1881. Mary was born in Bourbon County, KS May 30, 1861. Mary was the daughter of Harmon Catt and Margaret Jane Hopkins. Mary died July 23, 1949 in Bourbon County, KS, at 88 years of age. Her body was interred in Bourbon County, KS, Clarksburg Cemetery.

John Henry Carson and Mary May Catt had the following children:

4 ii. Maggie Carson was born in Cosby, MO November 12, 1884. Maggie died November 23, 1885 in Bourbon County, KS, at 1 year of age. Her body was interred Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, Evergreen Cemetery.

5 iii. Maude May Carson was born in Bourbon County, KS September 1, 1887. Maude died June 10, 1959 Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, at 71 years of age. Her body was interred in Bourbon County, KS, Clarksburg Cemetery. She married Thomas Clarence McGrew in CATT Homstead, SE of Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, June 28, 1905. Thomas was born July 3, 1884. Thomas died January 9, 1951 in Bourbon County, KS, at 66 years of age. His body was interred in Bourbon County, KS, Clarksburg Cemetery. 6 iv. Ethel Cordelia Carson was born in Bourbon County, KS November 8, 1888. Ethel died April 12, 1962 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, at 73 years of age. Her body was interred in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, Red Deer Cemetery. She married Chester Arthur Beck in KS. Chester was born July 22, 1885. Chester died December 12, 1952 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, at 67 years of age. His body was interred in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, Red Deer Cemetery. 7 v. Bessie Viola Carson was born Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS May 30, 1891. She married Walter Woodard Hurtt Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, October 11, 1910. Walter was born in Downington, Lancaster County, PA September 5, 1889. Walter died January 23, 1958 Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS, at 68 years of age. His body was interred in Bourbon County, KS, Clarksburg Cemetery.
