Samuel Wesley Taylor and Sarah Elisabeth Irvin had the following child:

2 i. Alta Alameda² Taylor was born in Anson, Jones County, TX June 21, 1892. Alta died April 18, 1997 in Citrus Heights, Sacramento County, CA, at 104 years of age. She married Leroy Austin Hinshaw in Eureka, Humboldt County, CA, June 23, 1910. Leroy was born in Cowley County, KS October 28, 1878. Leroy was the son of Cyrus Mahlon Hinshaw and Amy Ellen Brown. Leroy died April 15, 1945 in CA, at 66 years of age. (See Leroy Austin Hinshaw for the continuation of this line.)
