2. Francis "Frank" Eugene² Sumstine (Jacob¹) was born in Peoria, Franklin County, KS September 17, 1862.

He married twice. He married Maud Della Wilson in Uniontown, Bourbon County, KS, May 16, 1889. Maud was born in near Uniontown, Bourbon County, KS May 12, 1871. Maud was the daughter of Mahlon Jacob Wilson and Clarissa Elena Speers. Maud died August 12, 1906 in Kansas City, KS, at 35 years of age. Her body was interred in Peoria, Franklin County, KS. He married Alta L. Pleasant After 1906. Alta was born about 1872.

Francis "Frank" Eugene Sumstine and Maud Della Wilson had the following children:

3 i. ³ Sumstine.

4 ii. Sumstine.

5 iii. Sumstine.

6 iv. Hazel Sumstine (living status unknown).
