He married Nancy Docia Ann Moore in Cooke County, TX, May 28, 1882. Nancy Docia Ann Moore was born in AR January 6, 1864. Nancy Docia Ann Moore was the daughter of George Washington Moore and Nancy C. Wheeler. Nancy Docia Ann Moore died January 14, 1936 in Belle Fonte, Boon County, AR, at 72 years of age.
Samuel Obediah Powers and Nancy Docia Ann Moore had the following children:

Maude died November 11, 1956 in Washita County, OK, at 71 years of age. She married Frank

Washita County, OK, at 79 years of age. She married John Jefferson Beech in Love County, Indian

Nancy Mae Powers was born in Cooke County, TX January 24, 1887. Nancy died April 28, 1964 in Morton,
TX, at 77 years of age. She married Thomas Fred Lynch in Love County, Indian Territory OK,
