1. Noah¹ Cardwell was born in Rockingham County, NC 1796. Noah died After August 11, 1876 in IA, at approximately 80 years of age.

He married Ann Barnes 1819. Ann was born in Rockingham County, NC September 12, 1793. Ann was the daughter of Chesley Barnes and Mary Means. Ann died October 7, 1839 in Fall Creek Township, Hamilton County, IN, at 46 years of age.

Noah Cardwell and Ann Barnes had the following children:

+ 2 i. Pleasant Perrin² Cardwell was born September 3, 1820.

3 ii. Susan Cardwell was born 1824.

4 iii. Peter Cardwell was born in Rockingham County, NC December 20, 1825. Peter died December 12, 1904 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, OK, at 78 years of age.

5 iv. Barnes Cardwell was born 1829.

6 v. Nancy Ann Cardwell was born in Hamilton County, IN March 9, 1833. Nancy died March 5, 1866 in Hamilton County, IN, at 32 years of age.

7 vi. Martha A. Cardwell was born 1835.
