1. James Anderson¹ Ruby⁽⁴⁸⁾ was born in Ioka, Keokuk, Iowa June 26, 1866. James died October 30, 1923 in English River Twp., Keokuk, Iowa, at 57 years of age. His body was interred October 31, 1923 in South English Cemetery, English River Twp., Keokuk, Iowa.⁽⁴⁹⁾

He married Rilla Dell Tygart in Ollie, Keokuk, Iowa, March 18, 1900. Rilla was born in Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa February 13, 1876. Rilla⁽⁵⁰⁾ was the daughter of Joseph Hiram Tygart and Sarah C. Lippard. Rilla died February 11, 1944 in Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa, at 67 years of age. Her body was interred February 14, 1944 in South English Cemetery, English River Twp., Keokuk, Iowa.⁽⁵¹⁾

James Anderson Ruby and Rilla Dell Tygart had the following children:

3 ii. Ralph Ruby (still alive).

4 iii. Alice Ruby (still alive).

5 iv. Elmer Ruby (still alive).

6 v. Walter Ruby (still alive).

7 vi. Dorothy E. Ruby⁽⁵²⁾ was born in English River Twp., Keokuk, Iowa September 29, 1922. Dorothy died March 19, 1923 in English River Twp., Keokuk, Iowa, at less than one year of age. Her body was interred March 21, 1923 in South English Cemetery, English River Twp., Keokuk, Iowa.
