3. George D.² Black (Abraham¹)⁽⁶⁾ was born in Warren Twp., Keokuk, Iowa January 1878.⁽⁷⁾ George died September 5, 1950 in Eldon, Keokuk, Iowa, at 72 years of age.⁽⁸⁾ His body was interred September 7, 1950 in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa.⁽⁹⁾

He married Anna Belle Messerschmitt in Martinsburg, Keokuk, Iowa, March 31, 1904.⁽¹⁰⁾ Anna was born in Martinsburg, Keokuk, Iowa February 21, 1884. (Additional notes for Anna Belle Messerschmitt⁽¹¹⁾) Anna died October 18, 1955 in Fairfield, Jefferson, Iowa, at 71 years of age. Her body was interred October 21, 1955 in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa.⁽¹²⁾

George D. Black and Anna Belle Messerschmitt had the following children:
