2. Thomas J.² Hulen (James¹) was born in Montgomery County, NC January 17, 1859. Thomas died 1945 at 86 years of age. His body was interred in Dill City, OK, South Burns Cemetery.

He married twice. He married Alice Hyler in Lamar County, TX, 1883. Alice died 1887. He married Lillie Modena Moore in Cooke County, TX, September 29, 1888. Lillie was born in Gainsville, Cooke County, TX April 28, 1873. Lillie was the daughter of George Washington Moore and Nancy C. Wheeler. Lillie died November 10, 1938 in Dill City, OK, at 65 years of age. Her body was interred in Dill City, OK, South Burns.

Thomas J. Hulen and Alice Hyler had the following children:

3 i. Myrtle³ Hulen was born in Gainsville, Cooke County, TX 1884. She married Mr. Wright.

4 ii. Willie Houston Hulen was born in Gainsville, Cooke County, TX January 15, 1887. He married Birdie Ella McDaniel 1910.

Thomas J. Hulen and Lillie Modena Moore had the following children:

5 iii. Thomas Alva Hulen was born in Gainsville, Cooke County, TX 1889.

6 iv. Anna Hulen was born 1891.

7 v. Hattie Hulen was born in Gainsville, Cooke County, TX 1896. She married Mr. McDaniel.

8 vi. Haskel Hulen (living status unknown).
