1. Samuel Mcpherson¹ Crank was born in Maynardsville, Union, Tennessee August 19, 1855. Samuel died March 12, 1943 in Cushing, Payne, Ok, at 87 years of age. His body was interred in Parkland Cem., Cushing, Payne, Ok.

He married Effie Birtie Clark January 27, 1884. Effie was born in Wythe, Va September 29, 1866. Effie was the daughter of David Garland Bell Clark and Missouri C. Stevens. Effie died May 26, 1942 in Cushing, Payne, Ok, at 75 years of age. Her body was interred in Parkland Cem., Cushing, Payne, Ok.

Samuel Mcpherson Crank and Effie Birtie Clark had the following children:

2 i. Carl Ronald² Crank was born in Wytheville, Wythe Co., Virginia November 21, 1884. Carl died December 2, 1930 at 46 years of age. He married Amanda Mcdaniel in Stroud, Lincoln Co., Oklahoma, November 21, 1907.

3 ii. James Francis Crank was born in Utopia, Uvalde, Tx May 26, 1887. James died October 22, 1918 in Kindrick, Lincoln, Ok, at 31 years of age. He married Alberta Franch July 17, 1914.

4 iii. David Crocket Crank (still alive).

5 iv. Samuel Earl Crank (still alive).

6 v. Willard Scott Crank (still alive).

7 vi. Raphael Lewis Crank (still alive).

8 vii. Anna Lee Crank (still alive).

9 viii. Allie Kee Crank was born in Chandler, Lincoln, Ok April 30, 1903. Allie died May 20, 1904 in Chandler, Lincoln, Ok, at 1 year of age.

10 ix. Joseph Sagers Crank (still alive).
