He married Mary E. Norvell in Orlinda, Linn Co, MO, November 5, 1890. Mary was born in MO April 11, 1873. Mary was the daughter of James S. Norvell and Emmazella B. Gillispie. Mary died August 8, 1903 in Linn County, MO, at 30 years of age. Her body was interred in Haseville Cemetery, Linn co, MO.

George's occupation: occupation unknown in Farmer.

George Irvin Smith and Mary E. Norvell had the following children:
