2. Samuel Jackson² Lathom (Samuel C.¹) was born in Prentice, Morgan County, IL July 17, 1891. Samuel died April 27, 1958 in San Jose, Santa Clara County, CA, at 66 years of age.

He married Alice Valrey Finch in Vancouver, Clark County, WA, October 31, 1917. Alice was born Fort Scott, Bourbon County, KS September 2, 1899. Alice was the daughter of Aurelius S. Finch and Melda Kizzah Wilson. Alice died July 18, 1938 in Portland, OR, at 38 years of age. Her body was interred Riverview Abbey.

Samuel Jackson Lathom and Alice Valrey Finch had the following child:

+ 3 i. Jack Wilson³ Lathom Woolley was born January 18, 1919.
