1. William Farris¹ Riggs was born in Conway Springs, Sumner County, KS May 15, 1905. William died November 3, 1976 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, KS, at 71 years of age. His body was interred November 5, 1976 in Conway Springs C, Conway Springs, Sumner, Ks.

He married Vera Olmstead in Conway Springs, Sumner County, KS, August 7, 1926. Vera was born Frederick, Tillman County, OK November 14, 1906. Vera is the daughter of Albert B. Olmstead and Bertha Rose Simpson.

William Farris Riggs and Vera Olmstead had the following children:

4 iii. Joyce Elaine Riggs (living status unknown).

5 iv. Nelma Joan Riggs was born in Eden Twp., Sumner County, KS January 22, 1937. Nelma died June 14, 1975 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at 38 years of age. She married Mr. Henderson.
