He married Lennah Joyce Trees 1919. Lennah was born June 30, 1899. Lennah was the daughter of Robert Edward "Lee" Trees and Julia E. Harwell. Lennah died June 13, 1987 in Red Oak, Ellis County, TX, at 87 years of age. Her body was interred in Ovilla, Ellis County, TX, Ovilla Cemetery.
