2. Francis Marion² Brown (Nelson¹) was born in Potts Camp, MS August 11, 1851. Francis died August 28, 1923 in Wichita Falls, TX, at 72 years of age. His body was interred in Mingus, Palo Pinto County, TX.

He married Priscilla Jane Floyd in Potts Camp, Marshall County, MS, June 21, 1871. Priscilla was born October 27,1846. Priscilla was the daughter of Angeline Floyd. Priscilla died October 30, 1919 in Palo Pinto County, TX, at 73 years of age.

Francis Marion Brown and Priscilla Jane Floyd had the following children:

7 i. Infant³ Brown. Infant died March 10, 1875.

8 ii. Josephine Cordelia "Mary" Brown was born in Pottsiville, MS November 10, 1872. Josephine died October 30, 1942 in Ranger, Eastland County, TX, at 69 years of age. Her body was interred in Strawn, Palo Pinto County, TX, Mt. Marion Cemetery. She married twice. She married John Franklin Hall in Fort Worth, TX, August 4, 1891. John was born in Lipan, Hood County, TX July 8, 1872. John was the son of Dr. Theo H. Hall and Sara. (See John Franklin Hall for the continuation of this line.) She married J. K. Smith March 14, 1921.

9 iii. David F. Brown was born February 9, 1877. He married Bulah Anglin January 29, 1896.

10 iv. Esther Brown was born March 5, 1879. Esther died May 17, 1937 at 58 years of age. She married George Key May 20, 1901.

11 v. Mary Ella Brown was born October 21, 1881. Mary died July 26, 1935 at 53 years of age. She married Dea Anglin May 12, 1901.

12 vi. Anna Sceldia Brown was born March 30, 1883. She married Hine "Huce" Owens April 22, 1903.

13 vii. Nellie (Mina) M. Almer Brown was born May 28, 1886. She married Lum Kyle November 30, 1902.
