He married Lydia Angelina Moore May 23, 1905. Lydia was born in Cooke County, TX June 29, 1887. Lydia was the daughter of Berry Newton Moore and Mary Ellen Hodges. Lydia died September 14, 1962 at 75 years of age.

Edgar Thomas Throneberry and Lydia Angelina Moore had the following children:

2 i. Lydia Isabell² Throneberry was born March 25, 1906. Lydia died March 30, 1957 at 51 years of age. She married Vernon Kitchens.

3 ii. Dessie Lee Throneberry was born September 27, 1907. Dessie died April 20, 1977 at 69 years of age. She married John Minor.

4 iii. Thomas Newton Throneberry was born October 18, 1909. Thomas died October 18, 1909 at less than one year of age.

5 iv. Gracie Opal Throneberry (still alive).

6 v. James Kenneth Throneberry was born October 29, 1917. James died July 11, 1944 at 26 years of age. He married Dorothy Gustafson.

7 vi. Infant Throneberry was born July 15, 1920. Infant died July 15, 1920 at less than one year of age.

8 vii. James Bransford Throneberry (still alive).

9 viii. Ora Mae Throneberry (still alive).

10 ix. Martha Lee Throneberry (still alive).
